What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

Battery Recycling and Take Back
Under the Waste Battery Regulations we offer a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries.
There are two options for take back and battery recycling:
1. You can either bring the waste batteries to our premises at Unit 1 The Aztec Centre 56 Nuffield Road Poole BH17 0RT during normal business hours (9am - 5pm Monday to Friday)
2. As we supply our products nationwide it may not be practical or environmentally friendly to bring your batteries to us here in Poole.
You may prefer to recycle your waste batteries at a local recycling centre. Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries have collection bins for used batteries and there are some in town halls, libraries and schools. If you're unsure where your local recycling facility for portable batteries is then please click this link and enter your postcode to locate the nearest recycling centre www.recyclenow.com
